Care and Maintenance
Even though Calphalon products are known for their durability, it does not hurt to exert a little extra effort in taking care of these items. Taking good care of your cookware will ensure that you will be able to prepare good tasting food for many years.
Caring for your Calphalon Commercial cookware is fairly simple. Before you use your cookware, make sure that you wash the item first in hot, soapy water. Wipe grime and dirt off the cooking surface using a soft washcloth and then rinse until the water runs clear. Since all Calphalon Commercial cookwares have been hard-anodised, seasoning the cooking surfaces is no longer necessary.
When you are cooking, it is ideal that you match your cooking implements with your pans. For Calphalon Commercial, it is best that you use wood, heat-resistant plastic or Teflon utensils instead of metal, which may damage the sensitive non-stick cooking surface.
Cleaning up after cooking is also made easy. Once the cooking implements have cooled down significantly, you can begin washing these using hot or lukewarm soapy water and a soft dishwashing cloth. There is no need to use hard, abrasive scouring pads or dishwashing soap – in fact, it is best that you steer clear away from these when you’re cleaning your Calphalon products. These materials will only scratch the surface of your cooking vessel and damage it. Also, do not, under any circumstance, clean your Calphalon product in a dishwashing machine. The harsh ingredients or elements found in most dishwashing powders may damage your cooking piece.
After you have washed the oil and dirt from your Calphalon Commercial cookware, you may now wipe it dry (again, using a soft dishwashing cloth). Once it is free from excess moisture, simply store the cooking implement in a cool yet dry cabinet, where it will stay until you decide to use it again.
